Zoya Stunning Collection

*These polishes were sent to me for my honest review*

Today I finally have the Zoya Stunning Collection review!  I've had these polishes for a few weeks now & even though I've used them a couple of times I haven't reviewed them yet.  All swatches are without base or topcoat.
Zoya Stunning Collection
First up is Darcy, a yellow cream:
Zoya Darcy
I used three coats of Darcy to get full coverage.  These polishes are all super shiny on their own.  Darcy reminds me of dandelions (maybe it's just because there was a ton of them in my yard when I did this swatch).  I've been told that yellow isn't my color & I have to agree, but I still love it.

Thandie is an orange cream:
Zoya Thandie
I used three coats of Thandie to get full coverage.  One thing I noticed about these polishes is that they may pull/drag & leave bald spots, but they even out pretty well one their own--the less you work at it the better.

Micky is a bubble gum pink cream:
Zoya Micky
I used three coats of Micky for full coverage, but I could have gotten away with two.  Micky reminds me of strawberries & cream--so yummy.

Yana is a darker pink cream with a hint of shimmer:
Zoya Yana
I used two coats of Yana for full coverage.  This is the only polish from the collection that I can tell has a hint of shimmer in it even though I *think* the above three also do.

Rocky is a baby blue cream:
Zoya Rocky
I used three coats of Rocky for full coverage.  This polish would be perfect for baby boy nail art.

Josie is a lighter green cream:
Zoya Josie
I used three coats of Josie for full coverage.  I don't think that this is a "true" green since it's too light, but I love it.  I honestly think there needs to be more green cream polishes--no shimmer or glitter or whatever else.

These polishes are available from for $8 each or $48 for the whole collection.  Which ones are your favorites?

Born Pretty Store review

*Items in the post were sent to me for my honest review*

Today I have a review from Born Pretty Store.  I got sent the 40 pcs Nail Art Polish Display Tips Stand Practice Tool which can be found here:

The way these are packaged are flat in a package with the screw & nut inside the package.

The practice nails & the "handle" part to them are both clear plastic which I like because I am using these to swatch my polishes so I can see what each color looks like (like the Zoya color spoons, just a bit bigger).

I decided to swatch my Sinful Colors polishes since I have 41 of them & I got a package of 50 practice nails instead of 40.  I wrote the brand & polish name on each handle in permanent marker and then put a coat of said polish to the underside of the stick--since they are see through this means I can see the "shiny" version if I'm looking through the plastic & the actual finish from the underside.
The practice nails slip onto the screw easily & then I just added the nut to hold them in place.  I love these & can't wait to get more so I can swatch the rest of my polishes (including the LE Zoyas that don't have color spoons).

Don't forget to use the code on the right side of my blog for 10% off of your Born Pretty Store order!

Fun with Zoya

This isn't a review on the new Zoya polishes (which I know I need to get done), but I did use the Stunning collection for a couple of cute manis lately.
First off, I wore 5 of the polishes (all except Yana) as a rainbow skittle mani:
Thumb-Pinkie: Zoya Rocky, Josie, Darcy, Thandie, Micky
After wearing that mani for a few days & then wearing nothing on my nails I decided to try using the polishes in a water marble (something I've only tried once or twice & it never really turned out well):

I will say that I love how this turned out even though it's not perfect.  I used a base coat of white polish & on my right hand I went Yana, Rocky, Josie, Darcy, Thandie, Micky in the water ("purple", blue, green, yellow, orange, pink) & on my left hand I did the reverse order--you can see the difference in which colors are the most dominate on my nails.  The Stunning collection worked wonderful as a water marble & I don't want to take it off!
